Disney…take two

We were out to eat the other night and something with Disney came on the TV that was in the restaurant.  Our family paused to watch, and Maddy squealed with delight.  Andy turned to me and said…I could go back now.  This wasn’t the case when we left.  Don’t get me wrong we enjoyed every minute of our Disney trip but when we left we were Disney Done.  Apparently in under two months you can completely  rebound and be ready to head back.

So Disney…did I mention it’s magical?  I know some prefer a beach vacation to anything that might have you tired at the end of your vacation.  I love a beach vacation too, but if you haven’t been to Disney, let me just say that it is a good tired when you get back.  It is a wow, do you remember their faces when….they went on that roller coaster, met Minnie, came off that ride.  I know Disney won’t always be magical to my kids, so I am so glad we have had the chance to go  this year and a couple years ago.

So without much more rambling here are some of my favorite pictures….

Maddy was enamored with the characters.

This was Enchanted Tales with Belle.  Maddy didn’t think she wanted to do this but I talked her into it.  Basically all the kids get a part in re-enacting a scene from Beauty and the Beast.  Maddy got to be Mrs. Potts, because she didn’t want to even try to be the beast – too scary.   Turns out she loved it.  I believe Auntie Heidi declared it “Charming!” and that she’d seen it all now, we could go home.

This ride our whole family really enjoyed. It is Buzz lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.  The pictures are hilarious.  But the funny thing is my sister had no idea what she was doing (nor did I) and she scored the highest in our family.  You had to shoot at the bad guys.

Hayden wasn’t a big fan of Star Tours the ride, but Aerosmith’s Rocking Roller Coaster where he went upside down and was one of the youngest riders for it…he absolutely loved, go figure.   photo Photo0009FourBySix.jpg

Have I mentioned my kids have a great Auntie.  She jumped right in after her flight (since she joined us a couple days into the trip) and just kept on going and going.  My kids loved having her there.    There was a constant discussion as to who got to sit next to Auntie Heidi.   photo P1000384.jpg

Did I mention that I love the Disney parades?  We went to three different ones, I know Maddy thought they were too loud, but Hayden seemed to like them.   photo IMG_5768.jpg

Ready to Dance.  We went to a dance party this night, you can see Maddy is already starting to strut her stuff.  Love that girl. photo IMG_5573.jpg

I can’t remember how many times we went on the carousel, multiple times a day when we were at the Magic Kingdom. photo IMG_5348.jpg

Dumbo was another favorite ride of Maddy’s, she took everyone on it I think. photo IMG_5307.jpg

 photo IMG_5239-1.jpg

Might be my favorite new picture of Hayden and Nana.  This was an afternoon that Nana went with Hayden and Andy to go on Splash mountain.  Turns out it wasn’t working that day.  Nana had no idea it was such a big drop, she considered herself fortunate that she didn’t have to go on it.  They spent the afternoon looking at pins, going in the treehouse, and other smaller rides.  But I know she would have gone on Splash mountain, just for Hayden.

You guys have mastered Disney and will be my expert resource when our Disney experience comes about…someday :) Your kids are very lucky to have parents and grandparents “do Disney” with them at this age when everything is so incredible and magical.
