Disney: There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow…

There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow

shining at the end of every day.

There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow.

Just a dream away!

That is a song that is sung in the Carousel of Progress ride, one of Andy’s favorite classic rides.  It really isn’t a ride at all, more of a movie theater where the seats move from one theater to a next, telling you a story about how times have changed through the years.  A great place to take a break, and just relax.  But the song that is sung stuck in our heads, especially Maddy’s.

I remember the last morning on the bus on the way to the airport.  It was very early in the AM and they had quiet music playing.  Maddy perked up when she heard this song and said  something to the effects of this is from Daddy’s ride.  I love the simple message of that song.  We still sing it and it makes me feel like no matter what type of day we’ve had, we have a beautiful day ahead of us.

It’s those little memories that have stuck in my head from Disney.  The smaller parts of the days that all add up to make our Disney trip magical.  And yes there are the bigger ones too.  LIke the day my mom, sister and I took Maddy to the Bippity Boppity Boo Boutique (a place for mostly girls to get all done up).  Another place that is simply charming.

I remember that Maddy soaked it all in sitting in that chair and seemed very relaxed.  So relaxed I think we all thought she may just fall asleep.  But the wonderful lady that did her hair chatted with her the entire time.

She really received so much attention, like she was the only princess she was going to see that day.

I do remember that Maddy wasn’t so sure about getting her hair done.    But she was a convert after that day.  She strutted out of the boutique like she owned the joint.

I will remember those moments she strutted and posed for the photo shoot afterwards.

I will remember sitting there beaming like a darn fool at her while she got her hair and makeup  done.  Loving that my mom and sister were there with us to soak it in.

And what does one do after being turned into a little princess?  Go chat with THE fairy godmother with your own godmother.
