Santa Time

Christmas time has passed.  It’s been long since over but I find it hard to sometimes get back into the swing of things.   We were with family over the holidays and I was amazed at how fast the time went.  Don’t get me wrong it usually goes fast, but this year I just felt like it was way too fast.

We started out right away with some celebrating for my sister Heidi’s birthday.  I wish we hadn’t had to travel on her birthday.  Maybe next year we will pull the kids out a day early, it was after all a goof off day.  I don’t have any pictures from that day, call it relaxation after listening to Maddy ask us “are we there yet?” three bazillion times.  She wanted to know how long it would be to get there in minutes, not hours, as if 300 minutes somehow sounds better than 6 hours.  The joys of car rides.

We went to hang out at my sister’s house the following day and soak up more animal time.  Maddy was so excited to see all the furry critters, I think she was more excited about seeing the animals than the fact that Christmas would be coming.  I kid not.

So without more rambling here are some highlights from Christmas morning mixed with some furry critters.

Hayden – the snuggler in our family.

Seriously love that picture.  Doesn’t get much better than that.

Cosette – aka Cosie, and yeah she got loved up by Maddy.

Dress up is a favorite pastime at Papa and Nana’s house.  This girl of mine knows how to rock a wig.

I only wish I would have had my camera out to capture more moments.  The ones where Hayden plays cribbage or monopoly with Papa, or the times Maddy puts on her makeup with Nana.

More to come on Christmas.
