Soaking in the sun: beach wedding style

Today I had hoped to take the kids to the beach, but it is storming out…again.  So inside time is where it is at… for now.

The rain is becoming a bit of a drag around these parts, especially when I look back at these beach pictures from the wedding at the end of April.  I am in the mood to have sand under my feet today.  This was the view from the hotel…picturesque.

The wedding was on the beach, a short simple ceremony with a gaggle of flower girls, and one ring bearer.  Hayden was in charge of making sure the youngest flower girl  got up the aisle,  so he did what any 8 year old boy would do and nudged her a bit when she needed it.  The girls walked single file spreading rose petals as they went.  Maddy got to the back of where everyone was seated and just stopped and looked around.  Hilarious, distracted as to what she should be doing.  But she managed to get herself down that aisle with some prodding from all the people who knew her.

The kids got to sit right in front to watch their Uncle Jake get married.

It was a nice breezy hot day for a wedding.

The gaggle of girls (minus the youngest flower girl) and Hayden.  Putting their time to good use and searching for shells while they waited pateintly for picture time.

Oh Hayden and Maddy, you melt my heart.

Family shots were a must with a background like this.

Gotta love the shades on Maddy, transition lenses made her look like the hip chick in all the wedding shots outside.

Auntie MeToo and Auntie Yaya grabbed up a bunch of the bubbles for the kids for after pictures and brought them to the lunch reception. Always thinking about what the kids would enjoy, so sweet.

So many of the family were amazing with our kids that weekend.  Swimming, and playing with them.  The time was short, but it was full to the brim with memories for us.

I didn’t capture all the moments, or all the family I wanted to.

Louise and Jennifer, my kids had a blast with you, so did I, even though time passes too quickly and years can go by, that is the great thing about family, you just pick right up like you haven’t missed a beat.  I enjoyed laughing with everyone there.

And our kids had a blast with all the family.

We spent the rest of our last day in Florida at the beach and the pool.

As the day came to an end, we flew a kite, for it was the one thing Andy had wanted to do since we got there.  The kids wanted more time in the ocean, there wasn’t enough time.  So we will have to return to the ocean to play, because there isn’t anything quite like this view.
