The most magical time of the year

I have realized I take a lot of pictures of the critters that abound when we are with family.  What can I say I am an animal lover.

There is something magical about being home with family during Christmas isn’t there.  Actually anytime of year I call my parent’s home a magical place.

We spent the other part of our week doing Christmas with Andy’s family, hanging out with my family, sewing lessons for me (because I inherited a well loved sewing machine) and bowling with Andy’s parents.  Bowling is a hit with my kids, I must remember to go bowling again soon with them.  Maddy literally drops the bowling ball onto the lane, it was fun to watch.  Hayden and I improved our games the second time around.  And Grandma…she’s one good bowler, I lost track of how many strikes she got.

Onto the fun…

Those are all sorts of lego pieces sorted and organized for Hayden, that was one of a few cases.  We don’t love organization in this house, nope not us.

This picture was taken the last night there.  The last day before we leave I always feel a since of urgency to do one more thing, to take one more picture.  It is never enough time.

Yes this will have to be a tradition that we continue.

We returned home a couple days before New year’s eve.  We had a fabulous New year’s Eve with some great friends.  We so loved the invite, it was a great way to end our break.  And to quote Maddy “We had a blast!”
